Privacy policy

This page is a waitlist. The only personal data it asks you for is an email address, and this policy explains exactly what happens to it — along with the usage statistics we collect only if you allow them.
What we collect
One thing: the email address you type into the waitlist form, together with the moment you submitted it and the consent you gave alongside it.
We do not ask for your name, your age, your country, or anything else. If you allow analytics in the cookie banner, we also collect statistics about how the page is used. Nothing of that kind loads until you choose, and refusing costs you nothing.
Who processes it
Skedibo is the data controller. The waitlist itself runs on LaunchList, which stores the address on our behalf as a data processor. Their own privacy policy is at https://getlaunchlist.com/legal/privacy.
The site is hosted on Netlify, which — like any web host — processes the technical request data needed to serve a page, including your IP address, in its server logs.
If — and only if — you allow analytics, Google Ireland Limited processes usage data on our behalf through Google Analytics, loaded by Google Tag Manager. Refuse, or simply never answer, and neither is requested at all: there is no Google code on the page to behave well or badly.
Fonts are served from this domain, not from a third-party CDN, specifically so that loading the page does not disclose your IP address to anyone else.
The consent banner itself is served from this domain, like the fonts, so that asking whether you consent does not itself disclose your IP address to anyone.
Why we collect it
To email you about the Skedibo launch: when early access opens, when your wave is next, and the discount you were promised for signing up early.
That is the whole purpose. We do not use the address to profile you, and we do not send unrelated marketing.
The legal basis
Your consent, under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, given by ticking the box next to the form. The box is never pre-ticked, and the form will not submit without it.
You can withdraw that consent at any time, and withdrawing it is as easy as giving it — see below.
Analytics rests on your consent too, given through the cookie banner rather than the form. It defaults to off, and you can change your mind at any time from the cookie icon in the bottom-right corner of any page.
How long we keep it
Until launch plus twelve months, or until you ask us to delete it — whichever comes first. If the product never launches, we delete the entire list and tell you we have done so.
Addresses that unsubscribe are removed from the mailing list immediately and deleted from our records within 30 days.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, correct it, have it deleted, restrict or object to how it is used, or receive it in a portable format.
Every email we send has a one-click unsubscribe link. For anything else, write to contact@skedibo.com and we will act within 30 days.
If you think we have handled your data badly, you have the right to complain to the data protection authority in the EU country where you live.
What we never do
We do not sell your email address. We do not share it with anyone other than LaunchList, which needs it in order to store the list. We do not transfer it outside the arrangements described above.
Cookies and local storage
Until you accept analytics, this site sets no cookies at all beyond the one holding your language, and nothing it stores is sent anywhere. Three small pieces of data live in your own browser purely to remember your choices: your colour theme and your answer to the cookie banner, both in local storage, and your chosen language in a cookie so that the homepage stops guessing once you have decided.
If you accept analytics, Google Analytics then sets its own cookies to recognise a returning visit and count it once rather than twice. Refusing leaves none of them, and clearing your browser data removes everything described here either way.
To change your answer later, use the cookie icon in the bottom-right corner of any page.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that affects what happens to your address, we will email everyone on the list before the change takes effect.
